Challenge

Over 400 machines priced 235–1,650 EUR — every sale needed an expert

Konesso.pl sells specialty coffee and espresso machines. Buying a machine from the premium segment requires a careful read of the customer’s needs, and specifications, accessory compatibility and model availability all call for in-depth expert knowledge.

Before AskSpot, advisers spent a great deal of time on detailed consultations with each customer. As sales volumes grew, this became a serious operational challenge.

Service was reaching its scaling limit

  • High volume of specialist questions — machine specs, compatibility, availability
  • Time-consuming one-on-one consultations for every premium machine purchase
  • Customers rarely bought the full starter kit once they had chosen a machine
  • Manually recommending filters, descalers and matching coffees didn’t scale
  • Average order value (AOV) stayed below its potential

Solution

An AI sales agent that turns product questions into purchases

The implementation was designed to engage high-intent shoppers at the decision moment, provide expert-level product advisory at scale, automate cross-sell and accessory recommendations, and lift conversion above the industry baseline.

Step 01

Curated discovery with AI Contextual Search

AskSpot replaced the static product list with a conversational interface. Customers describe what they need — by use case, technical requirement or flavour profile — and the chat returns a curated selection of 3–5 products from the live product feed.

  • Real-time integration with the product catalog
  • Natural-language understanding — Polish first, multilingual ready
  • Activation rules on product pages and category listings, where 73% of conversations happen

Step 02

Expert advisory and automated cross-sell

Beyond search, AskSpot provides the specialist knowledge that previously required a trained adviser: coffee flavour profiles, technical comparisons of espresso machines, accessory compatibility and warranty advice — backed by verifiable product data.

  • Brand-trained knowledge base for premium products (Jura, Nivona, Melitta, Sage)
  • An active advisor that proposes alternatives when a model is out of stock
  • Cross-sell automation matching descalers, filters and coffees to the purchased machine

Results

One month, 2,390 conversations, 43,320 EUR of chat-attributed revenue

The funnel stayed strong at every step: 44.4% of conversations showed a product, 35.3% led to a click, 24.1% to a cart and 16.2% to a purchase — adding up to 43,320 EUR (183,950 PLN) of attributed revenue over four weeks in April 2026.

16.2%

Conversation-to-purchase rate

One in six conversations ended in a purchase — 5–15× above the standard e-commerce conversion baseline.

51.9%

Chat carts completed as paid orders

More than half of the carts created in chat were paid for, and in 11.2% of conversations the customer bought exactly the product AskSpot recommended.

76.7%

Questions resolved without a human

More than three quarters of questions were resolved without a human handoff — up from 66.8% in October 2025.

Why it worked

Contact at the decision moment

73% of conversations happen on product pages and category listings — exactly when the customer is closest to buying. AskSpot steps in at that moment and closes the sale.

A selection, not a results list

Instead of 200 products to scroll, the chat picks the 3–5 that match the customer’s exact criteria. A shorter path means higher conversion.

Expert knowledge and cross-sell

Brand-trained AI answers questions about specifications, water hardness and accessory compatibility, and after a machine purchase recommends filters, descalers and coffees — AOV grows without manual configuration.

KONESSO.PL

“AskSpot doesn’t just answer questions — it sells. In four weeks it generated 43,000 EUR of attributed revenue, with one in six conversations ending in a purchase. The numbers we’d hoped for from a chatbot, we got from AskSpot in the first month.”
